What are your strengths and abilities that you bring to the above role ?

Ediz began working in manufacturing environments within the automotive and metals industries , where he was responsible for maintaining machine and process line operations , with a focus on maximising up-time , yield , and efficiency . Upon joining Rockwell Automation , Ediz began serving manufacturers directly , allowing him to fully empathize with their expectations amid the increasing pressures of market conditions .

Please describe the expectations of the end customers that you address . What are their pain points today ?

As AI becomes increasingly integral , Rockwell ’ s predictive and prescriptive maintenance solutions further support manufacturers . With profitability more critical than ever , cost-reducing technologies are in high demand . Rockwell ’ s Model Predictive Control Software solutions help reduce quality variations , minimise energy consumption , and maximise yield .

In the European Union , sustainability measures are intensifying the focus on GHG emissions . Rockwell Automation ’ s digitalisation , carbon capture , and decarbonisation solutions help customers meet these targets . Additionally , cybersecurity is becoming a growing concern in the operational technology sector , where cyberattacks can have severe consequences .

Which generic technologies and innovations can make a difference to your end customers business ?

Enterprise Resource Planning has opened new era for businesses and manufacturing plants are experiencing the same with Manufacturing Execution System Software Solutions . Rockwell Automation has several ready-to-implement MES solutions for specific industries and cloud based configurable solutions help customers progress in their digitalisation journey .

A global issue around finding skilled resources is also being tackled by Rockwell ’ s Augmented Reality , Data Analytics solutions . So , it is fair to say that Automation Technologies and AI together are bringing Autonomy to the manufacturing environment where processes are less dependent to human interventions .

Which aspects of your job role do you find rewarding and which challenging ?

Helping our customers overcome their growing challenges and witnessing positive outcomes is incredibly rewarding . The market demand for digitalisation is rising , and Rockwell is adapting with new offerings and by acquiring the necessary skill sets for our team . One of the most challenging aspects of the role is navigating the ever-changing regulations across different countries .

We need to be both highly resilient and agile , which is demanding but also very exciting .

How do you best like to de-stress and re-charge off work ?

Ediz had spent over 20 years of his professional life in Istanbul , Turkiye . He had been leading Rockwell business in Turkiye and in September 2023 , he relocated with his family to the UAE . Currently , his greatest motivation is exploring this new city and country with his family and forging new friendships .
