Muscat hosts Huawei ’ s Middle East and Central Asia , Commercial Roadshow
Huawei hosted the Oman leg of its Middle
East and Central Asia , Commercial Roadshow in Muscat . Contributing to the Oman Vision 2040 , the event showcased advanced digital solutions for government , enterprise , and industrial customers , focusing on supporting businesses across various industries in their digital transformation journeys .
The roadshow , which attracted 80 + attendees from various partner organisations , placed special emphasis on digital solutions for government , education , and healthcare sectors . Huawei experts presented a range of products and solutions , including those for IP networks , data storage , optical networks , smart devices , and remote communication systems . Practical examples of creating smart offices and campuses were also showcased .
The Oman roadshow is part of Huawei ’ s broader initiative to ignite digital transformation across Central Asia and the Middle East , following successful roadshows in Uzbekistan , Kazakhstan , and Kyrgyzstan earlier this year . The series will ultimately cover 13 ME & CA countries in total , demonstrating Huawei ’ s commitment to the region ’ s technological advancement .
Li Haopeng , Managing Director of Huawei ’ s Enterprise Business , opened the session by celebrating Huawei ’ s 21-year presence in Oman , emphasizing the company ’ s dedication to the country ’ s development . “ Our vision is to create a collaborative ecosystem where partners and Huawei work hand in hand to drive digital transformation in line with Oman ’ s digital transformation goals .”
Faisal Malik , Chief Technical Officer , Enterprise Business Group , Huawei Middle East and Central Asia , introduced Huawei ’ s Commercial Market Strategy , outlining the company ’ s vision for empowering local businesses .

Oman , Saudi Arabia , Bahrain teams recognised by Huawei at Seeds for Future 2024 in Tashkent
Huawei , in collaboration with the Ministry of Digital Technologies of the Republic of Uzbekistan , celebrated the culmination of the regional finals of the Seeds for the Future 2024 programme with a grand awards ceremony in Tashkent . Team Future Gadget Lab from Kuwait and Team Beyond Limits from the United Arab Emirates , UAE won first and second place , respectively , in the regional semifinal of the fourth annual Tech4Good competition that was held concurrently with the programme .
The teams were recognised by judges for their innovative use of technology to assist stroke patients with limited hand mobility . They will go on to compete in the finals in China alongside qualifying teams from around the world and explore ICT ’ s huge potential to drive sustainable development .

Arabia , Team Sufun from Oman , and Team
AquaLucens from Bahrain were recognised for their outstanding projects . Amanzhan Sabyrgali , representing Kazakhstan , and Zainab Al Zaimoor , part of the Bahrani contingent , were chosen as the Mentors ’ Favorites in recognition of their skills , team spirit , and positive influence on their teams during the competition .
The closing ceremony was also attended by Rustam Karimjonov , Deputy Minister of Digital Technologies of the Republic of Uzbekistan , and Ms . Nausheen Adnan , Member of the Parliament of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and Advisor to the Chief Minister on Educational Reforms .
As part of the programme , the students participated in five days of intensive training sessions and workshops in Tashkent , covering cutting-edge ICT technologies , scientific and technological leadership , discussions on global topics , Tech4Good group projects .
Students were also provided the opportunity to visit and connect with professionals at Huawei and Artel , Central Asia ’ s electronics manufacturer and one of Uzbekistan ’ s largest companies .
