Presight contracted by Jordan ’ s Ministry of Digital Economy to improve healthcare outcomes
Presight , the region ’ s big data analytics company powered by generative Artificial Intelligence , has been awarded a multimillion-dollar contract by Jordan ’ s Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship , which will set the pace of digital transformation in the country ’ s healthcare sector .
The contract will see Presight leverage M42 ’ s Abu Dhabi Health Data Services , expertise gained from their successful healthcare digital transformation projects in Abu Dhabi . This will serve as a blueprint to accelerate the adoption of innovative technologies and data-driven strategies aimed at improving healthcare outcomes for Jordanian citizens . Additionally , utilising its big data analytics capabilities , Presight will implement state-of-the-art solutions to derive actionable data insights .
Key elements of the contract include , among other groundbreaking projects , the delivery of a comprehensive public sector digital healthcare assessment and roadmap including strategic PMO , health information exchange strategy and business case and establishment of a virtual hospital Command Centre that provides tele-ICU , tele-radiology , and tele-dialysis next-generation services to peripheral hospitals .
Through this initiative , the MODEE aims to capture most clinical encounters on this journey towards a digitally transformed healthcare landscape . This is expected to result in resource efficiencies , enhancement of the quality of care , streamlining of healthcare costs and greater access to critical medical services across the country .
Work has already commenced with an inaugural meeting between all stakeholders held in Jordan in the presence of HE Ahmad Hanandeh , Jordan ’ s Minister of Digital Economy , and Entrepreneurship , and HE Dr Firas Al-Hawari , Jordan ’ s Minister of Health .

Jordan based Kawar Energy to install Huawei Digital Power ’ s superchargers at Manaseer gas stations
In a bid to support Jordan ’ s burgeoning Electric Vehicle , EV industry , Huawei and Kawar Energy recently announced a strategic collaboration to install Huawei ’ s advanced superchargers at Manaseer gas stations over a two-year period . This partnership is set to significantly increase the number of EV charging stations , making them more accessible to EV car owners .
Jordan has one of the largest EV markets in the region , with projections indicating substantial growth in the EV market in the coming years . This collaboration is set to address this growing demand by introducing cutting-edge EV charging solutions to the Jordanian market .
The Memorandum of Understanding , MoU was signed by Zhang Shizhe , General Manager of Huawei Jordan , and Eng Firas Alkhatib , CEO of Kawar Energy , in the presence of senior teams from both companies .
In addition , the MoU outlines plans for both companies to explore additional business opportunities beyond gas stations . It targets many sectors , including public and private , with the goal of introducing this advanced technology throughout Jordan .
Jordan ’ s EV users will benefit from Huawei ’ s industry-supercharging technologies , powered by the Huawei Digital Power unit . For instance , Huawei ’ s Liquid Cooled technology includes a smart Power Sharing Matrix capable of charging one KM range in just one second .
This state-of-the-art technology will be implemented at Al Manaseer gas stations , one of Jordan ’ s largest gas station chains , marking a significant milestone in the country ’ s journey toward a more sustainable and technologically advanced infrastructure .
Huawei Digital Power , with approximately 10,000 employees globally and 12 R & D centres , continues to pioneer digital power technologies to enable a greener and more sustainable future . By the end of 2023 , its solutions had helped customers generate 997.9 billion kWh of green power , save 46.1 billion kWh of electricity , and reduce CO 2 emissions by 495 million tons .
