Iraq based fintech Qi Card partners with Ant International to launch SuperQi App
Qi Card , a player in Iraq ’ s fintech sector , has unveiled its thirdgeneration app , SuperQi , in collaboration with Ant International , that powers the future of global commerce with digital innovation headquartered in Singapore . Powered by Alipay + Wallet Tech solutions , SuperQi integrates a digital lifestyle super app with a fully functional digital bank , bringing a new era of financial inclusion and digital services to Iraq .

Since its launch in July 2024 , SuperQi has fused Western digital banking models with the best practices from Asia ’ s super apps .

Available in Arabic , English , and Kurdish , SuperQi aims to serve millions of Iraqis , offering a comprehensive suite of services that include scanto-pay , money transfers , bill payments , loans , instalments , mobile recharge , shopping , travel and other payment solutions .
SuperQi also supports Iraq ’ s expanding financial infrastructure , with over 20,000 point-of-sale merchants and 10,000 cash-out agents . The app ’ s accessibility is designed to meet the evolving financial and lifestyle needs of users , targeting over 30 % of Iraq ’ s population by 2026 .
Qi has already made significant strides in improving financial inclusion in Iraq . The rate of banked individuals in the country has surged from a mere 5 % to nearly 50 % in recent years . By enabling access to banking services through SuperQi , the fintech company aims to further accelerate this shift towards a cashless society .
With over 11 million cardholders and five million mobile app users , Qi plans to reach over 15 million app users within the next three years . This is in line with its mission to reshape the way financial transactions occur in Iraq , offering unparalleled convenience for users to take control of their finances .
Dell , Aramco , National IT Academy celebrate graduation from ITXcelerate
Dell Technologies , Aramco and National IT Academy , NITA celebrated the graduation of talented Saudi students from the 18-weeks ITXcelerate programme .
These graduates have earned globally recognised Dell Proven Professional Certifications in Information and Storage Management and Data Science and Big Data Analytics , equipping them with advanced technical expertise and positioning them as future providers in the technology industry .
They also gained invaluable real-world experience through on-site job shadowing at Dell Technologies ’ Riyadh premises and tackled industry-relevant challenges in a collaborative Dell-Aramco use case project .
This milestone underscores the success of the “ ITXcelerate ” programme in bridging the gap between academic learning and professional readiness , empowering Saudi youth to drive the future of Saudi Arabia ’ s digital economy .
The ceremony was attended by the students and their families as well as officials from Dell Technologies , Aramco and NITA . For this year ’ s cohort , the use case projects were categorised by four groups :
Group one : Multi-Cloud and Deployment
Focused on modernising Aramco ’ s data centres by integrating multi-cloud environments and advanced technologies like AI . The adoption of the solution could lead to potential enhancement on the scalability , flexibility , and innovation in IT infrastructure while aligning with global best practices .
Group two : Cybersecurity
Prioritised safeguarding Aramco ’ s data and operations by implementing advanced cybersecurity solutions from Dell Technologies . The group strengthened defences against evolving cyber threats , ensuring robust data protection and business resilience .
Group three : HPC , AI
Leveraged high-performance computing and AI to transform seismic data analysis , improving speed , accuracy , and efficiency . This supported better decision-making in exploration and production , enhancing operational efficiency and reducing costs .
Group Four : Data Lakehouse
Addressed data management challenges by developing a unified data architecture combining the benefits of data lakes and warehouses . This approach streamlined data storage , retrieval , and analysis , accelerating decision-making and supporting future growth .
