Du launches sovereign cloud for the UAE

Du has launched a sovereign cloud offering built on the Oracle Alloy cloud infrastructure platform.

The National Hypercloud supports private and public sector organisations in the UAE, with a focus on customers in Dubai and the Northern Emirates.
“ The deployment of Oracle Alloy is a major step in our evolution into a cloud services market, complementing our wide portfolio of managed services with comprehensive public cloud capabilities that enable us to respond nimbly to the transformation demands of our customers,” said Fahad Al Hassawi, CEO, Du.
The platform features more than 200 Oracle Cloud Infrastructure( OCI) services across Infrastructure-as-a-Service( IaaS), Platform-as-a-Service( PaaS) and Software-as-a-Service( SaaS). Oracle’ s distributed cloud, OCI Generative AI service and OCI AI infrastructure are highlighted for customers looking to enable AI from the Du platform.
Du also referenced collaboration with Nvidia, including its accelerated computing platform and software for deploying Oracle’ s AI capabilities for public sector customers.
Du supports more than 100 OCI services and the launch marks the transformation of Du from a telecom operator into a sovereign hyperscaler.
Du will operate the National Hypercloud from its own data centre in the UAE. By establishing a full OCI region via Oracle Alloy inside that facility, Du becomes a sovereign hyperscaler rather than a cloud tenant.

IDCA, headquartered in Washington D. C., will actively assess and benchmark Khazna’ s operations against its globally recognised standards. The review will cover data centre design, service delivery, cloud and AI deployments, as well as workforce development.

“ IDCA’ s framework is an industry benchmark that reflects the full complexity of modern digital infrastructure, particularly in cloud and AI,” said Hassan Alnaqbi, CEO of Khazna.
“ Our alignment to these standards is another step towards aligning with broader international benchmarks.”
“ This strategic alliance between IDCA and Khazna will give Khazna’ s current and future clients the assurance that their data is being housed in facilities meeting the leading global standards and latest best practices,” said IDCA Chairman and CEO Mehdi Paryavi in making the announcement.
“ Khazna plays such a critical role in the future of digital infrastructure for Cloud and AI and its adoption of IDCA standards exhibits the company’ s commitment in making a global impact.”
The certification process, which began on July 1, 2025, includes comprehensive audits of Khazna’ s infrastructure, operational protocols and corporate systems.
Paryavi said:“ IDCA projects a growth of data centre capacity from the current level of around 55GW to as much as 250 to 300GW by 2030. This massive explosion of demand requires leading emerging global players like Khazna, who are already delivering results at scale, to meet international benchmarks.” p
