Alibaba Cloud and Yvolv commit to China’ s“ One Belt, One Road”

Mobile Device Manager Plus, the company’ s enterprise mobility management software, will also be accessible from the EU data centres beginning February 2017. Alibaba Cloud, the cloud computing arm of Alibaba Group, together with Yvolv, met a visiting delegation from the China National Development and Reform Commission in Dubai on 13 January 2017. Yvolv is a technology JV between Alibaba Cloud and Meraas, which provides Alibaba Cloud solutions from its Dubai based data centre as well as digital transformation and managed services.
The“ One Belt, One Road” initiative is a plan jointly released by the National Development and Reform Commission and the Ministry of Commerce of China. One Belt, One Road seeks to enhance regional connectivity across Central Asia, West Asia, the Middle East and Europe.

In November 2016, Alibaba Cloud launched a new data centre in Dubai operated by Yvolv. It is the first full-fledged public cloud in the region hosted at a local data centre. It offers a portfolio of services to address the increasing demand for mission-critical, affordable and secure cloud computing in the Middle East.
