FMS Tech, a global telematics systems provider, along with its partner Technologica, has been awarded a project with Dubai Taxi Corporation (DTC), which is a subsidiary of RTA. This is for the supply and installation of FMS Tech’s Telematics device on the DTC fleet and FMS Tech Device Management Platform. The project will include over 100 telematics parameters obtained by the FMS TECH device from limousine vehicles and sent across to the RTA RMS (Regulatory Monitoring System) Platform. This data is then analysed to evaluate the performance of the drivers and vehicles by DTC’s fleet managers and relayed to the drivers to improve their driving habits. Road safety is only one aspect that the new system will aim to enhance, as it will also aid better understanding driver routes and reduce the amount of time a car is not being used. In turn this will reduce costs and improve the over-all customer experience. 6 INTELLIGENTCIO Bassam Alkassar, CEO of FMS Tech, said: “We are very proud and honoured to be selected to take this project on-board by DTC. We are keen on working on this project further and aid Dubai’s, RTA’s and DTC’s Smart City vision. “We look forward to seeing the results that the new devices will achieve for RTA and assist in paving the way to safer and more connected roads.” www.intelligentcio.com
