Oman’s ITA chooses Oracle Cloud to power
e-transformation projects
T
he Information Technology Authority (ITA) of Oman
has chosen a suite of Oracle Cloud solutions to create a
robust IT infrastructure that will power its g-Cloud initiative for
e-transformation projects.

The ITA supports Omani government entities develop innovative
eServices and the news was welcomed by Dr Salim Al Ruzaiqi, Chief
Executive Officer, ITA.
He said: “At ITA we are focused on creating a modern government
infrastructure that delivers swift, transparent and intuitive services
to citizens, residents and visitors. Engaging in such MoUs will serve
that purpose as Oracle has great g-Cloud solutions and an accredited
record in encouraging entrepreneurship.”
The Oracle solution offers complete SaaS application suites for ERP,
HCM and CX, plus best-in-class database Platform as a Service (PaaS)
and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) from data centres throughout
the Americas, Europe and Asia.
Furthermore, in continuation of its efforts to drive digital
transformation in Oman, Oracle has also signed two MoUs to
support ITA Oman’s Sas Programme for Entrepreneurship and has
also launched Oracle’s first Oman IT graduate programme with ITA.
Under the entrepreneurship programme, Oracle will guide Omani
start-ups on the importance of cloud technology to achieve business
objectives with mentoring programmes, expert talks, workshops and
also by providing access to the Oracle Partner Network.
