The MoU was signed by Batelco General
Manager Ebru Pilav, on behalf of Mohamed
Bubashait and Professor Keith Sharp,
the Vice President of BUB, during the
inauguration ceremony of the BUB.
Mohamed Bubashait, Batelco Bahrain CEO,
said: “Batelco is delighted to enter into this
agreement with BUB as it demonstrates
Batelco’s commitment towards supporting
education in general and higher education in
particular in the kingdom of Bahrain.
“We believe this strategic partnership is
beneficial for both Batelco and the BUB. This
partnership represents the mutual interest
between both organisations for collaborative
research and development opportunities,
and additionally training and capacity
building activities for the BUB and Batelco to
benefit from.”
Professor Sharp, on behalf of BUB, said:
“Fundamental to BUB’s mission is to work
as closely with industry as possible to ensure
that our students benefit from learning in
real world environments and gain the skills
which employers in Bahrain and the region
need. Our partnership with Batelco is a clear
example of this kind of collaboration.”
