NEWS Mimecast appoints general manager for Middle East Veeam appoints new regional manager M imecast Limited, a leading email and data security company, has appointed Jeff Ogden as general manager for the Middle East. In his new role, Ogden will oversee the company’s UAE operations and growth in the region, and will be responsible for educating organisations about evolving cyberattacks and how to build a cyber- resilience strategy for email. Ogden has been working in technology for over 35 years, 17 of which have been in IT security. Under his leadership, Mimecast will continue to build a strong and loyal channel programme, ensuring resellers share a deep knowledge of the company’s services, alongside a commitment to customer experience. Prior to joining Mimecast, previous senior executive roles Jeff has held include leading Symantec’s managed security services and consulting division in the Middle East. Schuck will be responsible for leading the sales and pre-sales teams as well as planning and executing channel and marketing strategies to help grow Veeam’s business in the region. He will report to Gregg Petersen, VP of Middle East and Africa at Veeam Software. “I see tremendous potential for growth for Veeam in the Middle East and Central Africa as regional enterprises embark on their digital transformation journey and are beginning to understand that availability is central to this transformation,” said Schuck. Schuck is an ICT industry veteran with over 22 years of experience in various roles including account manager, sales manager, channel manager and PC engineer in companies like Dell, EMC and HP. “However, achieving success requires discipline, operational excellence and high levels of collaboration among teams. I am committed to leading a talented sales organisation and ensuring that we have the right sales strategy in place that will enable us to quickly respond to customer needs and fully capitalise on these opportunities as they present themselves.
