SRTI Park enhances profile of Sharjah
as a model city and ideal destination for
living and doing business.
SRTI Park’s participation was focused on
attracting the attention of leading local
and international companies in the field
of technology, research, innovation and
knowledge to benefit from the advantages
and facilities offered by the park, which
provides an incubating environment and
encourages the creation of creative and
technology-based business communities.
Earlier this year, SRTI Park announced
the signing of an agreement with Future
Cities Catapult Services, a UK government
institution dedicated to developing innovative
products, services and infrastructure to meet
the smart needs of communities.

he Sharjah Research, Technology and
Innovation Park (SRTI Park) successfully
took part in GITEX Technology Week
2018 as part of the entities featured at
the Sharjah Government Platform. Their
presence at this year’s show falls in line with
the vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan
bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, member of the
Supreme Council and ruler of Sharjah, which
aims to consolidate the emirate’s reputation
The partnership is promoting cooperation
between the UK and Sharjah and further
build SRTI Park’s reputation as a futuristic
institution, while promoting the emirate as a
world class research and innovation hub.

Dell EMC brings ‘Women in Technology’
diversity Initiative to the UAE
D
ell EMC, as part of the Dell Technologies
Forum in Dubai, has hosted the first
Middle East edition of its ‘Women in
Technology’ initiative, which featured
accomplished women in technology-related
careers in the UAE as speakers and panellists.
The Women in Technology session brought
together women from within Dell EMC
and beyond to present on topics including
milestones, challenges, and other realities
faced by women in technology workplaces.
Manal Ansari, Vice President, ArabWIC (Arab
Women In Computing), and Innovation
Manager, Emirates National Bank, and Dr
Hoda Khzaimi, Director – Security Center,
NY University Abu Dhabi, and President of
Emirates Digital Association For Women,
were the keynote speakers.

increase the interest of girls and women
