Ankabut launches Microsoft’s
Azure Stack in collaboration
with Huawei

he latest connectivity solutions
have been introduced at the Abu
Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition
and Conference.
IEC Telecom Group, a leading global provider
of managed network communication
solutions, has showcased the solutions
that will facilitate improved crew
communications, online access and seamless
operational performance as part of a new
era of connectivity.
IEC Telecom Group and its partner Al
Yah Satellite Communications Company
(Yahsat) introduced its IEC Welfare solution
to the exhibition.
This combines a ‘controlled welfare’
feature as well as a secure corporate link
into one solution.
With 360-degree support for corporate
applications, IEC Welfare is equipped with
24/7 customer support and smart budget
control tools, delivering advanced online
reporting on network usage while controlling
the allocation of crew credits.

nkabut, the UAE’s Advanced
National Research and Education
Network (NREN) offering academic
institutions connectivity to other
education networks around the world,
and Huawei, a leading global provider
of information and communications
technology (ICT) infrastructure and
smart devices, has partnered to launch
a cutting-edge new cloud solution in the
UAE, Microsoft’s Azure Stack.
This will be the first implementation of
Microsoft’s Azure Stack solution in GCC
and the ME Region.
Through this partnership, Ankabut aims
to take the education infrastructure
in the UAE to the next level of
innovation by implementing the
platform that will offer educational
institutes cloud-paced innovation and
computing management simplicity,
cost optimisation, in addition to more
reliability and added value services.
Ankabut offers academic institutions
connectivity to other education networks
around the world; it’s an initiative of
Khalifa University.
In addition to connecting universities,
Ankabut can connect schools and public
institutions together across the UAE.
