King Fahd Hospital and STC launch cloud-based
radiography platform
S
audi Telecom Company (STC) has announced the launch of
the first-of-its-kind radiography platform (Enterprise Medical
Imaging) in KSA, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health at King
Fahd General Hospital in Madinah.
STC will support the hospital with state-of-the-art technology to
ensure the provision of excellent healthcare services to the patients.
Through the new platform, it will be possible to facilitate workflow,
enable immediate reporting, archive all data contained in STC’s
cloud database centre, co-ordinate healthcare services in the
hospital and reduce the cost of healthcare programmes, especially
with the availability of the platform’s staff management feature
which allows centralised management of human resources and
medical staff.
Mu’awwad emphasised that this partnership with the Ministry
of Health and its affiliate institutions is of utmost importance
and pointed out that STC is working on building and developing
new technology solutions for various sectors to help implement
cloud computing technology and shape the future of Digital
Transformation in the Kingdom.
Engineer Riyadh Mu’awwad, Vice-President for Public Sector Sales
and Major Customers, said: “We continuously seek to build strategic
partnerships to strengthen and empower the medical facilities
and hospitals in the country and allow them to take advantage of
state-of-the-art digital technology. As a result, this will enhance
