• Without automation, estimated cost
is $4.43 million, a $1.55 million net
cost difference
• The extensive use of IoT
devices increased cost by $5 per
compromised record
• A mega breach of 1 million records yields

• A mega breach of 50 million records
yields an average total cost of
$350 million
