Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank partners with
Silicon Valley’s Plug and Play to join global
ecosystem of financial institutions

bu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) has
announced its partnership with Plug and
Play, the largest global innovation platform
headquartered in Silicon Valley.
Along with 80 other financial institutions
across the world, ADCB will join Plug and
Play’s global ecosystem, leveraging the
platform to support its comprehensive
Digital Transformation strategy. Plug and
Play is renowned for connecting the best
technology start-ups with the world’s largest
corporations to boost Digital Transformation
programmes. The partnership kicked off
with a successful hackathon at the ADGM
Academy and unlocks opportunities for
ADCB to experiment with numerous Fintech
propositions. Siddiqa Abbas, ADCB’s Group
Chief Operations Officer, said: “ADCB

in streamlining processes but also ensure
meaningful interventions focused on the

Abu Dhabi Government showcases
achievements in US

n official delegation has promoted Abu
Dhabi as an international technology
and innovation hub in the US. The
delegation participated in the 2019 Esri User
Conference in San Diego, California.
Its presence at the event was aimed
at increasing the capacity and skills of
Abu Dhabi government employees in
Geographic Information Systems (GIS),
as well as promote the Emirate’s leading
developments and innovation in this field.
HE Dr Rauda Al Saadi, Director General, Abu
Dhabi Digital Authority (ADDA), said: “The
Abu Dhabi Government has established a
strong partnership with Esri and it continues
to seek ways to strengthen its relationship
with leading GIS organisations and
professionals to enhance the value of GIS
in delivering government services to ensure
