Applications 10
IFS, the global enterprise applications
company, has announced that
International Maritime Industries Company
(IMI), a landmark joint venture between
Saudi Aramco, Lamprell, Bahri and Hyundai
Heavy Industries, has concluded the first
deployment of IFS Applications to support
maintenance, repair, overhaul (MRO)
contracts and back-office operations.
Located in Ras Al-Khair on the east coast of
Saudi Arabia, IMI, when fully operational, will
be the largest maritime facility in the region
and globally unique in terms of its mix of
services across multiple market segments:
newbuild and MRO for commercial vessels
including very large crude carriers (VLCCs),
bulk carriers, offshore support vessels (OSVs)
and offshore jackup rigs.
KSA hospital has demonstrated
A its quality of care following the
implementation of InterSystems TrakCare
unified health information system.
King Khaled Eye Specialist Hospital
(KKESH) has renewed its top rating on
the Electronic Medical Record Adoption
Model (EMRAM).
KKESH was the first hospital in the
Middle East to obtain a stage seven
rating from the Healthcare Information
and Management Systems Society
(HIMSS) and is now the first to renew the
validation for use of health informatics.
This designation indicates that the
hospital is employing the highest level
of clinical Information Technology and
advanced safety features to provide
excellent patient care.
TrakCare provided KKESH with a
unified healthcare information system,
consolidating all patient administration,
financial and clinical information in a
single data repository with a common
user interface, while also integrating
KKESH’s other systems.
Dr Abdulaziz Ibrahim AlRajhi, Chief
Executive Officer of KKESH, confirmed
that this hospital’s stage seven validation
renewal is in line with the hospital’s
leadership strategy to transform KKESH
into a digital smart hospital.
“The support and continuous
communication with HE the Minister
of Health contributed to the hospital’s
success in implementing many plans and
programmes, especially in the field of
developing electronic services to obtain an
accessible and more advanced service.”
To promote productivity and ensure
efficiencies across its operations, the
company needed a modern, fully integrated
ERP solution with robust functionality,
designed for the maritime industry.
Following a comprehensive evaluation
process that included major ERP vendors
IMI chose IFS Applications. Following the
successful implementation of phase one,
IFS Applications now supports missioncritical
processes and operations and
is fully integrated with finance, human
capital management (HCM), payroll and
procurement. “We are impressed with
the capabilities of IFS Applications 10
and look forward to a long and fruitful
partnership with a global ERP provider that
has a successful track record in supporting
companies in the shipbuilding industry,”
said Emad Al-Humam, Vice President of
Information Technology at IMI.
