PROJECT UPDATE BAHRAIN Batelco has introduced a same-day home delivery service to support the community during the current period of shop closures and people staying at home. Batelco’s support channels, batelco.com, Batelco App, Live Chat and WhatsApp Sales, will be accepting orders for devices and services. Orders placed before 11am will be delivered on the same day, while orders placed after 11am will be scheduled for next day delivery. Precautionary measures will be in place for the home delivery service, in line with Ministry of Health guidelines, such as limiting numbers in any location and encouraging social distancing. UAE Parking at Mall of the Emirates became easier with the launch of a smart parking function on the Mall of the Emirates mobile application. When customers download the app, they can register their car under the ‘parking’ tab and gain automatic entry and exit through the barrier as they approach, ensuring a seamless journey. Customers can also input their payment details on the app, and if their time in the mall exceeds the free parking limit, the app will automatically charge their card for the additional time. The new app’s features include parking availability, which shows the number of available parking spaces at the mall before visitors arrive, and a ‘Find my Car’ feature which applies Artificial Intelligence to parking cameras to locate a vehicle when customers input their car’s number plate. www.intelligentcio.com INTELLIGENTCIO 31
