Zain collaborates with MOH to fight Coronavirus Zain, a leading digital service provider in Kuwait, announced its collaboration with the Ministry of Health (MOH) to spread medical awareness and contribute to the ministry’s efforts in fighting Coronavirus disease (COVID-19). This collaboration comes as part of Zain’s commitment to reflect the Kuwaiti private sector’s role in shouldering the public sector for the nation’s well-being. NEWS As part of this collaboration, Zain offers its customers free calls to any of MOH’s three hotlines; 24970967, 96049698 and 99048619. Customers can inquire about any health or medical information related to COVID-19 directly from the ministry’s specialised team. Zain also provided MOH with free bulk SMS messages to send medical and awareness content to the community during this period. In addition, the company sent a number of awareness messages in collaboration with the ministry’s team through its official social media channels. Zain also broadcast official MOH awareness videos on Coronavirus disease in seven languages: Tamil, Telugu, Urdu, Farsi, Filipino, Bengali and Santhali. Zain supplied all its kiosks and self-service machines in all of Kuwait’s areas with sanitisers and the company’s team continuously and periodically sanitises all machines to ensure the safety of customers. Zain also notified all sales staff to wear medical gloves, stop the use of biometric devices and more. ///////////////// Nutanix partners with Udacity to offer hybrid cloud nanodegree programme Nutanix, a leader in enterprise cloud computing, has announced a partnership with Udacity, the global online learning platform, resulting in a new hybrid cloud nanodegree programme. This programme will enhance learning opportunities in the emerging cloud technologies market that are essential for organisations to uplevel their IT infrastructure. As part of the collaboration, Nutanix will also sponsor 5,000 scholarships to help IT professionals advance their knowledge with this initiative. As more services move to the cloud, IT teams require the knowledge and expertise it takes to properly manage these infrastructures that increasingly stretch across on-premises and public cloud in a hybrid model. To fill this educational gap, Udacity and Nutanix have collaborated closely to develop a nanodegree programme that will advance the knowledge of seasoned IT professionals. To strengthen professional development in this space, the nanodegree programme will cover modern private cloud infrastructure and the design of hybrid application deployment. Udacity is opening applications to the Nutanix hybrid cloud scholarship programme. For the first phase of the scholarship programme, Udacity will select 5,000 applicants to participate in the hybrid cloud fundamentals course.
