Orange Business Services , a network-native digital services company , has announced that it will design and build a new data centre to provide cloud services for Egypt ’ s ‘ New Administrative Capital ’. The project will be implemented in collaboration with Orange Egypt , which will supply the required infrastructure and services .

OMAN
NNTC , a UAE-based software developer and solutions provider , has successfully implemented its biometric user onboarding module with Smart Engines ’ identity documents recognition technology at Oman Arab Bank ( OAB ). Omani citizens or residents can now open an account through the OAB Online App in under five minutes without needing to visit a branch office .

SAUDI ARABIA
The Council of Ministers has approved a reduced electricity tariff bundle for Saudi-based public cloud computing operators . The decision is part of Vision 2030 ambitions to drive growth across the Saudi digital economy . The approval follows two key decisions by Google and Alibaba to bring cloud services to the Kingdom through a combined investment of US $ 1.5 billion , the largest regional tech investment to date .
