Nokia expands du ’ s 5G network to enable enhanced broadband in UAE

Nokia and du , a UAE-based telecommunications service provider from Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company ( EITC ), have signed a four-year 5G expansion deal .

Market , Nokia , signed the deal . As part of the agreement , Nokia will deploy the new 5G sites with its Single Radio Access Network ( SRAN ) technology .
This will deliver 5G services in new locations and address the demand for enhanced broadband services .
El Leithy said : “ Our industry-leading products and solutions are empowering service providers across the globe to efficiently manage networks and futureproof their investments for upcoming technologies . We are thrilled to be working with du on this crucial initiative to expand its 5G network to address its customers ’ requirements . The Nokia SRAN solution will allow du to enhance network efficiency by simplifying the network operations .”

Dubai Electronic Security Centre partners with Thales to upskill cyber workforce

The Dubai Electronic Security Centre

( DESC ) has signed a strategic partnership agreement with Thales Group , a global provider of cybersecurity technologies and data protection solutions .
As part of the agreement , the two parties will collaborate in different strategic initiatives to achieve the city cybersecurity vision . Both parties will work towards achieving the objectives of the cyber smart society and innovation domains within Dubai cybersecurity strategy .
In addition , the parties will work towards developing the world class platform to improve the cyber-resilience of the city and offering the best solutions to the government and semi government entities in Dubai .
