Welcome to the latest edition of Intelligent CIO Middle East . A recent Genetec report dubbed Physical Security in EMEA 2021 , revealed results based on insights from over 1,500 physical security professionals . The report took a closer look at how physical security teams across Europe , Middle East and Africa ( EMEA ) are leveraging technology to manage both short-term needs and long-term priorities . The findings identified video analytics , access control and identity management as strategic technologies for 2021 . In this regard , we continue to cover articles in this edition of the magazine addressing the issue of cyberthreats and the changing work dynamics in EMEA .
Gracing the cover of this month ’ s edition is Dr Raed Syed Hashem , Head , Disaster Management Team , Amiri Hospital , who tells us how one of Kuwait ’ s most established medical facilities , has leveraged new network architecture from Aruba , a Hewlett Packard Enterprise company , to pioneer new innovations and standards in digital health , telemedicine and inpatient care in the Gulf state .
