Mediclinic Middle East launches new online appointment booking app and telemedicine portal platform and made possible through integration with InterSystems TrakCare , Mediclinic ’ s unified healthcare information system , gives patients the flexibility to book an in-person or virtual appointment at any time and also allows patients to seamlessly conduct a video consultation with their doctor should they wish .
Mediclinic Middle East recently launched
MYMEDICLINIC 24x7 , its new online appointment management and telemedicine portal . With the MYMEDICLINIC 24X7 app , patients can now view profiles of Mediclinic doctors and healthcare practitioners at all seven hospitals and 20 outpatient clinics in Dubai , Abu Dhabi and Al Ain , search and select doctors by specialty , location , languages spoken , insurance coverage and gender and view all available in-person and video appointments and choose a time and date that suits them .

OIC-CERT launch 5G Security Working Group at GISEC 2021
At this year ’ s GISEC , the Organisation of the Islamic Co-operation – Computer Emergency Response Team ( OIC-CERT ), an international cybersecurity platform , has announced the launch of a 5G Security Working Group for all stakeholders of the cyberspace to ensure end-to-end cybersecurity for OIC member states at the Telecom Cybersecurity Stage .
The launch of the 5G Security Working Group has been initiated to increase awareness on the importance of 5G security , develop a common 5G security framework for risk assessment and management and develop an open standard that can be used to mitigate any technical difficulties in rolling out the 5G .
Engr . Bader Al-Salehi , Chair , OIC-CERT , hoped that this working group shall contribute to the global 5G development by forming a trusted global ecosystem . “ Before 5G technology can deployed , we need to ensure that the security challenges of this technology can be overcome . We believe that this initiative by the OIC-CERT shall assist to resolve some of the security issues and accelerate 5G implementation especially within the OIC community ,” said Al-Salehi .
This collaborative approach aims to provide best practices , guidance and promote standardisation objectives in an open and transparent platform to accelerate the roll out of 5G among OIC member states in a seamless and cost-effective manner .
