Welcome to the latest edition of Intelligent CIO Middle East . New research from cybersecurity vendor Mimecast has cast a spotlight on the role of brands in protecting their customers from cyberattacks .

In a survey conducted by Mimecast , 75 % of consumers in KSA and 78 % of consumers in the UAE , said they would stop spending money with their favourite brand if they fell victim to a phishing attack involving that brand . Compared to a global average of 57 %, this places the region ’ s consumers among the most unforgiving of all markets surveyed .
Among the many insights , Byrne shares that : “ 5G is an amazing breakthrough that will drive Ooredoo ’ s business for years to come . Ooredoo Group was one of the first companies to launch a 5G network in Qatar in 2018 and we continue to rollout 5G across our global footprint .
