Vodafone Qatar reports 77 % increase in net profit to US $ 89.8 million for 2021

Telco Vodafone Qatar has announced its financial results for the year ended December 31st 2021 , which reflect the company ’ s success in maintaining its growth trajectory .

The telecoms provider reported an annual net profit of QR327 million ( US $ 89.8 million ), a 76.9 % increase compared to the previous year mainly driven by EBITDA growth , despite the impact of COVID-19 .
Total revenue for the year increased by 14.8 % year-on-year to reach QR2.5 billion ( US $ 686.8 million ) due to continued growth in the company ’ s postpaid , fixed broadband services ( GigaHome ), managed services and equipment and related services . Service revenue grew by 10.4 % to QR2.2 billion ( US $ 604.3 million ).
