Kuwait ’ s Ministry of State for Communications and Information Technology recently marked the success of its Sahel mobile application and the Digital Transformation it has achieved in partnership with Avaya . The Sahel application is dedicated to the modernisation of government transactions delivering e-government services for a range of departments . The application transforms the government-to-citizen experience and marks a strategic achievement in the government ’ s vision for Kuwait 2035 dubbed “ A New Kuwait ”.

Visa , a leading digital payments company and the Transport Authority – Government of Ajman ( TA ) recently signed a memorandum of understanding ( MoU ) at the MENA Transport Congress and Exhibition 2022 to implement open-loop EMV technology to Ajman Bus that will allow passengers to pay for their ride using their everyday contactless Visa cards or devices and achieve smart mobility in the city of Ajman . Under the MoU , implementation of open-loop EMV technology will make the passenger experience seamless and reduce travel time by eliminating the need to stand in line to purchase tickets or top up their ticket .

Batelco has taken a major step forward after it unveiled its new BEYON Money brand , in line with its strategy to move beyond its core business and venture into the world of FinTech . Earlier this year , Batelco announced its entry into the world of FinTech after the telco established a new financial services company following the receipt of licences from the Central Bank of Bahrain .

Vodafone Qatar and Microsoft have announced that the two companies are building on their existing partnership in order to provide more digital solutions to businesses across the Gulf state .
