Ooredoo Group expands partnership with Microsoft to include cloud solutions and services
Ooredoo Group has expanded its partnership with Microsoft enabling its companies to provide business customers with additional cloud services – either individually or bundled with Ooredoo ’ s connectivity services . The partnership focuses on a range of services – from productivity tools , like Office365 and Microsoft Teams , to the efficient execution of business processes .
The roll-out of the partnership will take place throughout 2023 and will encompass all Ooredoo Group ’ s companies .
The extended partnership with Microsoft consolidates Ooredoo ’ s position as a one-stop-shop , not only for connectivity solutions and services but also for thirdparty , cloud-based solutions and services , ensuring a comprehensive offering and support for its B2B customers .
Ooredoo is an international ICT provider operating across the Middle East , North Africa and Southeast Asia . Serving consumers and businesses in nine countries , Ooredoo delivers a leading data experience through a broad range of content and services via its advanced , data-centric mobile and fixed networks . Ooredoo generated revenues of QAR 23 billion as of 31 December 2022 .

Ooredoo will leverage Huawei ’ s Mobile Fintech to provide fintech services
Ooredoo Group has signed a partnership agreement with Huawei to leverage Huawei Mobile Fintech platform to provide Fintech services in markets across the company ’ s footprint . Under the agreement , the two entities will cooperate for Ooredoo to provide state-of the art , mobile-first financial services on Huawei ’ s platform for both consumers and merchants in Ooredoo ’ s markets .
Ooredoo has already a strong position in Fintech in Qatar that represents a 35 % market share of the overall mobile money transaction value in the MENA region , based on a 2022 GSMA study for the MENA market . The new cooperation with Huawei will further enhance Ooredoo ’ s market role in this region and improve the competitiveness in this industry .
Huawei is an industry leader with innovative Fintech , MFS solutions serving more than 400 million mobile finance users globally .
Its MFS platform has been named an established leader in the Digital Money Transfer and Remittances Platform Providers Leaderboard by global advisory and research firm Juniper Research .
