Omantel signs deal with National University to provide cloud-based student journey

Omantel , the provider of integrated telecommunication services in the Sultanate of Oman , has entered into an agreement with National University of Science and Technology to implement an integrated digital solution that brings parents , professors and students to a single connected platform , enabling digitalisation of the whole spectrum , from admission management to awarding of degrees .

In a major foray into campus automation , Omantel has created a solution that lays the foundation for digitalising core operational performance of academic institutions , eliminating manual processes and paper-based systems . All core services will be hosted in Omantel ’ s state-of-the art Tier-3 datacentre to maintain higher uptime . The agreement was signed by Sheikh Talal Al Mamari , CEO of Omantel and Dr Ali Al Bimani , Vice Chancellor of NUST .
