In September , Saudi Arabia ’ s Minister of Communications and Information Technology , Eng Abdullah bin Amer Alswaha , held discussions in Shenzhen , China , with the CEO and founder of Huawei , Ren Zhengfei . The talks revolved around opportunities to enhance cooperation and expand partnerships in digital infrastructure , modern technologies , and capacity development .
With the fastest economic growth globally in 2022 and the largest share of the digital economy in the region , Saudi Arabia is actively seeking to support its transformation efforts towards an innovation-based economy .
