Greetings to the readers of Intelligent CIO Middle East . In this edition we present highlights of the Intelligent ICT Awards 2023 that was held during GITEX Technology Week in Dubai . The event recognised regional digital innovation across Leadership , Enterprise , Datacentres , Security and Channel categories . A jury panel selected winners from numerous nominations submitted based on several key criteria , including sustainability , innovation , scalability , cost-savings and future-proofing the business .
In this edition , we also look at the disruptive potential of 3D printing and how it can benefit focussed markets . UAE based Paradigm 3D opened the doors of its AED20 million investment into 3D-print manufacturing . This is the first plant in the Middle East capable of producing parts in accordance with the aerospacespecific EASA Part 21G regulation .
It is equipped with industrial 3D printers from Stratasys and will initially focus on producing components and parts for the region ’ s aviation industry . The 10,750 sqft factory will begin with a production capacity of 2,000 additively manufactured parts per year .
