Turkish e-commerce platforms , including Trendyol , Hepsiburada , and Getir , have experienced rapid growth in recent years . Istanbul has , as a result , been included among the top 20 of the world ' s start-up ecosystems in the gaming and e-commerce industries .
In September 2022 , Amazon opened its first logistics facility in Turkey to assist its neighbouring partners and companies and respond to rising customer demand .
Roughly 92 % of households have access to broadband Internet . Approximately 62 % of households access the Internet through fixed broadband and 89 % via mobile broadband . There are 88 million mobile subscriptions for broadband use . Turkey has 69 million active social media users , 81 % of the population .
