Consumerization of IT has entered corporate
enterprises and transformed the way IT is
developed and deployed. This shift is being
driven by the manner in which IT is consumed
and their expectations of having a seamless
experience with higher personalized services.
At the core of this new technology paradigm,
has been the unprecedented growth in
data. And unlike the past technology waves,
there is a shift from generalization to
personalization. The economic uncertainty
and political volatility has put IT budgets
under pressure and fueled organizations
to seriously consider shifting from a Capex
model to an Opex model. Thereby driving the
adoption of Cloud Computing.
The adoption of Cloud Computing will be
fueled by the spending on Public Cloud.
This would be driven by shifting their noncore applications to an Opex model. While
investments in infrastructure are expected
to decline, there would a growth in Software
and services. The Public Cloud, both globally
as well as in the region, will largely be driven
by SaaS (Software-as-a-Service). With security
concerns and data privacy being addressed
we would witness faster adoption of IaaS
(Infrastructure-as-a-Service). To strengthen
the underlying core of their cloud computing
platform, organizations are now deploying
PaaS (Platform-as-a-Platform) solutions.
Seamless integration across platforms, both
on-premise and on cloud, will drive Middleware
technologies. There would be demand for
converge infrastructure as organisations look
at integrating their hybrid environments of
data centers and Cloud Computing.
Internet of Things (IoT) will generate

unimaginable quantum of data, providing
data related growth opportunities thereby
driving Digitalization. IoT will create new
market opportunities across industries and
the region. There will a rise in the number of
IoT devices (ibeacons, sensors, etc) installed
thereby driving new business and operating
models. This will be fueled by SmartInitiatives across the region such as the
Smart Cities, Smart Travel, Smart Hospitals,
Smart Education, Smart Retail, etc.
The growth in Data generated will drive
Analytics across predictive, prescriptive and
cognitive. Organisations will need to make
