Reichle & De-Massari (R&M) has deployed its latest structured cabling solutions at Kempinski, Al Mouj
Muscat, a five-star property in the Al Mouj Muscat waterfront development. The hotel will be able to
leverage this network infrastructure for all its IT functions including high-speed data and voice connectivity
for guests, IPTV, as well as video surveillance and security access systems.
At the time of its completion in 2016, Kempinski, Al Mouj Muscat will have 310 rooms, 77 branded
residences, ten restaurants, a ballroom that can accommodate more than 750 people and luxury spa
facilities at its evocative beachfront location. It will also have a beach club with recreational and health
facilities including tennis courts, a spa and swimming pools, a six lane bowling alley, male and female hair
salon and various luxury F&B outlets.

Ellucian, the provider of higher education software and services, has announced that the
company is partnering with the University College of Bahrain and MDSL to implement
Ellucian Quercus.
Quercus is a cloud based student administration system that enables higher education
institutions to deliver a superior experience for students on any browser or mobile device.
Quercus is hosted in reliable and secure cloud data centres that provide scaling and high
resilience facilities for operating mission critical applications. Ellucian’s data centres are
certified to comply with Information Security standards. The SaaS platform operates across
three physical data centres to ensure resilience.
