As Generative AI application adoption and implementation move at a blazing pace, the survey uncovered that while the majority of organisations have already implemented a Generative AI strategy, implementation targets vary significantly.
Organisations are eager to leverage Generative AI for productivity, automation, and innovation, but they also face critical hurdles in the form of data security, compliance, and IT infrastructure modernisation. Further, 90 % of respondents expect their IT costs to rise due to Generative AI and modern application implementation.
But 70 % of organisations expect to make a return on their investment from Generative AI projects over the next two to three years.
Many organisations have reached an inflection point with Generative AI implementation and deployment. This year’ s survey revealed key trends that we are hearing from customers as well, including challenges with scaling Generative AI workloads from development to production, new requirements Generative AI creates for data governance, privacy, and visibility, and integration with existing IT infrastructure.
To successfully unlock ROI with Generative AI projects, organisations need to take a holistic approach to modernising applications and infrastructure and embrace containerisation.
Generative AI application adoption and implementation continue at a rapid pace. Over 80 % of organisations have already implemented a Generative AI strategy with only 2 % of organisations admitting that they have not started planning their Generative AI strategy. That said, implementation targets vary significantly.
Most organisations believe Generative AI solutions will help improve their organisation’ s levels of productivity, automation, and efficiency. Meanwhile, real-world Generative AI use cases gravitate towards customer support and experience solutions today. However, organisations aspire to apply Generative AI solutions to cybersecurity and data protection workloads in the near future.
Generative AI adoption will challenge traditional norms for data security and privacy. 95 % of respondents agree that Generative AI is changing their organisation’ s priorities, with security and privacy being a primary concern. p
