F5 highlights AI security innovation in Oman

F5 showcased its latest enterprise AI security capabilities at two customer events in Muscat, supporting Oman’ s growing focus on Artificial Intelligence and Digital Transformation.

F5 Academy Oman provided customers with dedicated training on the company’ s solutions, while the F5 Technology Showcase with Otech brought together ODP customers and partners to discuss cybersecurity, application delivery and the security implications of adopting AI and cloud technologies.
F5 highlighted the growing risks associated with AI systems as they gain greater access, autonomy and speed. The company also pointed to the rise of shadow AI, where employees use unauthorised AI tools and integrations that may operate beyond the visibility and governance of security teams.
According to F5’ s 2026 State of Application Strategy Report, 88 % of organisations reported at least one AI-related operational or security challenge.
Among the technologies showcased was the F5 AI Security Platform, which provides continuous visibility, governance and protection across enterprise AI applications, models, agents and APIs.
F5 also highlighted its enhanced AI Gateway, designed to enforce policies on AI requests and provide enterprises with a unified control plane for governing access to AI models, agents and tools.
Sami Saber, Regional Sales Manager and Oman Country Manager at F5, said:“ As Oman accelerates its adoption of AI through initiatives such as the National Programme for Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Digital Technologies, strong security and governance will be essential to ensuring these technologies can be adopted safely and at scale.”
