Functional silos are broken down by
contextualising operational and business
data to enable teams to make better
decisions based on accurate, real-time
Organisations such as the Abu Dhabi
National Oil Company (ADNOC) have
pioneered early versions of this tailored
approach and have realised reductions in
project implementation times by as much as
60% over the more time-intensive process
of integrating bespoke solutions.
Abdul Nasser Al Mughairbi, Senior Vice
President, Digital, at the Abu Dhabi
National Oil Company (ADNOC), said:
“ADNOC’s operations across the entire
value chain are vast and varied and the
Panorama Command Centre gives us
unified live data access across all our
operations and business units.
“Modelling, simulations and analytics
have also allowed ADNOC to drive greater
production efficiencies across the board.
“AVEVA is a key partner for ADNOC as
we continue to adopt the latest
technologies and drive our Oil & Gas 4.0
mission to stay ahead of the world’s
growing energy demand.”
Rashesh Mody, Vice President of AVEVA’s
Monitoring and Control business, said: “By
partnering with leading companies in the
process and infrastructure market we have

by rapidly deploying our industry-proven,
template-based solutions to transform their
businesses with confidence.
“The Unified Operations Center enables
companies to achieve operational excellence
and increase profitability through more
efficient energy consumption and predictive
maintenance. We expect to deliver other
industry solutions, like power and water, in
the coming months.”
Dubai Airports enhances customer
experience with real-time monitoring system
D
ubai Airports, which operates Dubai
International Airport, has launched
a high-tech system that monitors airport
operations in real-time and visualises
traffic flows to support consistently smooth
operations at the world’s busiest airport.
realtimeDXB, a bespoke cloud-based
platform, gathers data generated by more
than 50 operational systems, including
those of Dubai Airports and its many
service partners. It uses this information

airfield to kerbside to anticipate challenges
more accurately, facilitate greater
collaboration between service partners
and quick decision-making.
Damian Ellacott, Vice President of the
Airport Operations Control Centre (AOCC)
at Dubai Airports, said: “As a system that
makes key operational information visible
in real-time to all service partners involved
in the day to day running of the airport,
realtimeDXB is a major step forward
in our journey to develop common
situational awareness.
“With ability to measure operational
efficiency, it provides us and our partners
with enhanced decision-support tools to
improve operations and manage disruption
more effectively. This system will be
instrumental in the implementation of new
